Laying of the foundation stone for the VAUN factory in Sangerhausen. The foundation stone has been laid for the new, state-of-the-art MIFA bicycle factory in Sangerhausen. The symbolic starting shot was fired last Friday at a festive ceremony with 150 invited guests. The first bikes should come off the production line as soon as January 2017. Making 1 million new bikes possible. The new production site will occupy a total area of 30,000 square metres. MIFA is investing a sum of almost 20 million EUR in the new building, which is located directly next to the A38 motorway.

André Schröder, Finance Minister for Sachsen-Anhalt, gave his personal congratulations. It was evidently a special joy for him to celebrate the building of a new bicycle factory in his home town. Dr. Sebastian Putz, Secretary of State in the Sachsen-Anhalt Ministry for Regional Development and Transport, Dr. Angelika Klein, District Administrator for Mansfeld-Südharz, and Mayor of Sangerhausen Ralf Poschmann also gave their congratulations.
